Our story

It started with Saturday mornings

Ellen Haskins bought this farm in 2003 with two horses, a leaking bank barn, and a plan to teach a few neighborhood kids on Saturday mornings. The covered arena went up in 2014, after one too many January lessons got rained off. Today there are eleven school horses in the lesson string, most of them older than the kids who ride them, and thirty-four boarded horses in the two barns. We still pick every new rider's horse ourselves. Tell us you are nervous and we will know more than any riding level could tell us.

What we offer

Helmets and lesson horses provided. Wear long pants and a boot with a small heel.

Private Riding Lesson

One hour, one instructor, one rider, on a lesson horse picked for you. English or western, ages 7 and up, weekday afternoons at 4.

Guided Trail Ride

An hour on the wooded loop and across the creek at a walk, with a short trot for anyone who wants one. Ages 10 and up, 240 lb limit, six riders at most.

Lesson Package: 4 Privates

Four private lessons at $55 each, used within 90 days. The office books each one with you and you keep the same instructor all four weeks.

Summer Horse Camp

A week of riding, grooming, and barn chores for ages 8 to 14, Monday to Friday in June and July. The 2027 camp dates post in February.

Boarding

Pasture and full-care board, month to month, with turnout every day and the covered arena all winter. Every stall is full right now, so ask to join the waiting list.

An hour on the ground: haltering, grooming, tacking up, and reading a horse. No riding. Booked by phone, and a good place for a nervous adult to start.
