Private Riding Lesson

One hour, one instructor, one rider, on a lesson horse picked for you. English or western, ages 7 and up, weekday afternoons at 4.

Guided Trail Ride

An hour on the wooded loop and across the creek at a walk, with a short trot for anyone who wants one. Ages 10 and up, 240 lb limit, six riders at most.

Four private lessons at $55 each, used within 90 days. The office books each one with you and you keep the same instructor all four weeks.

Summer Horse Camp

A week of riding, grooming, and barn chores for ages 8 to 14, Monday to Friday in June and July. The 2027 camp dates post in February.

Pasture and full-care board, month to month, with turnout every day and the covered arena all winter. Every stall is full right now, so ask to join the waiting list.

Horsemanship Session

An hour on the ground: haltering, grooming, tacking up, and reading a horse. No riding. Booked by phone, and a good place for a nervous adult to start.

How a lesson actually goes

Come fifteen minutes early

We groom and tack up together before the hour starts. It is part of learning to ride, and it tells us how you are with the horse.

Same horse for a while

New riders stay on one school horse for their first month or so. Changing horses too soon just means starting over.

Rain moves us indoors

Lessons go to the covered arena in bad weather. We only cancel for lightning or ice on the drive, and then we call you.

Twenty-four hours notice

Cancel a day ahead and we move the lesson. Later than that and it counts, because the horse and instructor were held for you.

No. Most of our riders ride ours. Lesson horses, saddles, and helmets are all provided.

Private lessons start at age 7. Trail rides are for ages 10 and up, with a 240 lb weight limit for the horses' sake.

You pay $220 up front, which is $55 a lesson instead of $60. Use all four within 90 days. After you buy it, the office calls to set the dates with the same instructor each week.

Yes. All 34 stalls are taken and the list runs about four months. Come for a tour, meet Wade, and we will add your horse to it. Board is month to month once you are in.

Long pants and a boot or shoe with a small heel. We provide the helmet, and we would rather you did not buy riding boots before you know you like it.

Camp is weekdays in June and July for ages 8 to 14. The 2027 dates and price post in February, and newsletter subscribers hear a few days earlier.
